Company History

February 1804First-generation Yasujirō Masuda founded the foundry business.
1852-1857Under the guidance of Shūhan Takashima, 213 cannons were cast.
Since then, manufacturing has remained the family business.
April 1922Masuko Shoten was founded in Honcho 4-chome, Kawaguchi.
August 1947Started manufacturing castings and industrial machinery in Honcho 1-chome, Kawaguchi.
1965Developed the Super Masscoloider.
August 1971Reorganized as Masuko Sangyo Co., Ltd.
1972Developed a fully automatic soy milk production plant and equipment for chicken-bone and pork-bone
Marrow Emulsion.
October 1982Developed a beef-bone Marrow Emulsion production line.
September 1984Developed a carbonized colloidal composite fuel production line.
November 1985Received the Saitama Industrial Technology Grand Prize for a method of manufacturing grinder stones.
January 1986Received the Food Industry Technology Achievement Award for development of the Super Masscoloider.
February 1986Received an Invention Achievement Award for a system that crushes bones into food materials.
February 1987Received a Utility Model Achievement Award for grinder-stone polymer composites.
April 1988Received the Science and Technology Agency Director-General Award for development of an ultrafine grinder.
August 1988Obtained patents in 11 countries for the new “Grindel” grinder stone.
May 1989Received the Technology Award from the Food Industry Society.
May 1989Chairman Tsuneo Masuda received the Medal with Yellow Ribbon.
October 1993Developed the Serendipitor for ultrafine grinding of hard-to-grind materials.
October 1993Received the Invention Grand Prize for the high-speed pulverizer Serendipitor.
November 1994Completed Hatogaya No. 2 Factory.
December 1994Started company-wide 5S activities.
September 1995Completed the new head office factory.
May 1996Started the company-wide TQM “Yume 2000” initiative.
April 1998Obtained a patent for antibacterial grinders.
October 1999Developed the Ceren Miller airflow pulverizer.
February 2000Obtained ISO 9001 certification.
February 2001Obtained ISO 14001 certification.
June 2002Developed the Micro Meister ultra-precision cutting machine.
December 2008Joined the Super ISO Study Group.
June 2009Developed the Super Masscoloider Alpha multifunctional mill.
June 2011Developed the Ceren Miller DAU airflow pulverizer.
June 2012All employees again participated in Great East Japan Earthquake volunteer activities, following the previous year.
2013Exported Masscolloiders for cellulose nanofiber applications to 22 countries.
July 2013Rolled out Super 6S activities, pursuing happiness, company-wide.
January 2015Developed the fourth-generation Super Masscoloider IV.
January 2016Received the Eiichi Shibusawa Business Award.
December 2016Introduced an electron microscope and a 300-ton press.
July 2017Declared promotion of health management for healthier employees and company.
November 2017Developed the Hyper Masscoloider IV.
May 2018Certified as a Saitama Prefecture management innovation company.
June 2019Developed the self-circulating Super Masscoloider.
